About Us

Bright Horizon Early Childhood Institution was started on September 2, 2006, ​by a retired teacher, Mrs Valrie Wade and her daughter, Dr. Tiffany McBean. ​with a wealth of knowledge in Early Childhood education. They both hold ​active teachers’ certificates, and diplomas in early childhood and secondary ​education respectively. Mrs. Valrie Wade holds a first Degree with Magna ​Cum Laude honors, all in Early Childhood, and a Master's Degree in ​Leadership and Management from Connecticut State University. Dr. Tiffany ​McBean holds a Masters in Management of Educational Programs and a Ph.D. ​in Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Evaluation.

Welcome to Bright ​Horizon Early ​Childhood Institution.

It is my distinct pleasure to welcome you and your ​child(ren) to Bright Horizon Early Childhood Institution. ​You have selected a school that offers a strong, holistic ​foundation for young children to receive cognitive, social, ​and emotional learning tools to maximize their full ​potential. By partnering with us, you are ensuring that ​your child or children receive the essential foundation for ​learning.


Our children also participate in the JCDC Festival ​Competitions, the Kiwanis Club of Providence Kiddies ​Bee Spelling Competitions, Jamaica Day, and Sports Day. ​We track our students through various high schools both ​locally and internationally. Be assured that the students ​are Bright Horizon Early Childhood Institution are poised ​for greatness as we prepare them to advance the welfare ​of others in a global economy. is the first fully registered early childhood school by ​the Ministry of Education Youth and Information as ​well as the Early Childhood Commission in the ​western region of Jamaica. This is a testament to the ​excellence with which teaching and learning is ​conducted at our school. Our fundamental goal is to ​make a positive difference in students’ lives every ​day.
